Tajikistanese Clients Visit Shanxi Hongda Cable as Foreign Trade Expands
Setting sail for international markets, Shanxi Hongda Cable welcomed Tajikistanese business representatives to open a new chapter in its foreign trade development.
The year 2026 marked the inaugural year of Shanxi Hongda Cable's overseas market expansion. After officially entering the foreign trade sector, the company completed preliminary production-line upgrades, enhanced international certifications and established a dedicated foreign trade team.
On April 21, 2026, two clients from Tajikistan traveled across Central Asia to visit the Shanxi plant. They inspected the cable production and testing chain, discussed specialized cables for plateau hydropower and photovoltaic infrastructure projects, and reached a procurement cooperation agreement.
Full-factory inspection builds confidence in cooperation
Mr. Li, the company's foreign trade lead and technical engineer, accompanied the Tajikistanese clients together with the production supervisor and business manager. The delegation visited the automated foreign trade production line, standardized testing laboratory and export finished product storage area.
The visit gave the clients a full view of Hongda Cable's standardized cable process, from raw copper processing and conductor stranding to insulation extrusion, sheath molding and final quality inspection before shipment.
Tajikistan has extensive high-altitude mountainous terrain, long severe winters, strong winds, sandstorms and large day-night temperature differences. Local hydropower, photovoltaic and urban-rural grid projects place strict requirements on cable low-temperature resistance, crack resistance and UV aging resistance.
In the production area, the clients reviewed dedicated lines for photovoltaic cables, high-voltage transmission cables, building wiring and cold-resistant specialty cables. They observed automated equipment, compared samples for extremely cold environments, and asked detailed questions about raw material selection and sheath modification.
The delegation then checked the testing laboratory, reviewed CE international certification and export quality inspection qualifications, and observed tests covering low-temperature resistance, pressure resistance, wear resistance and weathering aging. The clients said the closed-loop quality management system and professional testing equipment dispelled their initial concerns about a new cable export facility.
Customized technical solution receives client approval
After the factory tour, both parties held a technical and business matchmaking seminar. Engineer Li analyzed cable electrical parameters, service life and outdoor performance advantages against the operating conditions of Tajik hydropower development, photovoltaic power stations and rural grid upgrades.
Based on the region's high altitude, extreme low temperatures and frequent sandstorms, Engineer Li proposed a customized cable solution with a thicker cold-resistant sheath and freeze-resistant insulation layer. He also answered questions about mass production capacity, cross-border delivery timelines, after-sales support and flexible specification adjustment.
Following multiple rounds of discussion, the two Tajikistanese clients finalized a supply framework agreement on site. They noted Hongda Cable's manufacturing capability, quality control standards and foreign trade service, and expressed plans to gradually expand procurement categories and order volumes.
Steady foreign trade progress along the Silk Road
